What is UV coating?
UV Coating is a clear liquid spread over the paper like ink and then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. It can be a gloss or dull coating, and can be used as a spot covering to accent a particular image on the sheet or as an overall (flood) coating. UV coating gives more protection and sheen than either varnish or aqueous coating. UV coating is a durable high-gloss finish that goes on Sleeve and Digipak packages after they're printed. The final result is a product that not only looks great but is also durable for repeated handling, and is 100% recyclable. The colors are brighter and the whole package looks more professional than the regular aqueous coating other companies offer. It truly makes your CD or DVD stand out from the crowd.
Best of all, UV coating is available free with every packaging format we offer, including Digipaks, Sleeves, wallets, presentation folders, and retail boxes — a $200 value!
